Hello and welcome to my site.

 

I’m an illustrator and watercolour artist with a deep appreciation for British landscapes and culture.

 

Having lived in many parts of Britain over the years, I’ve developed a love for its scenic beauty and a keen interest in the culture that shaped me.

 

Originally from Hornchurch in the London borough of Havering. It was here that I started my career at a local reprographics arthouse, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I went on to further my career in London working as a graphic designer.

 

I had a career break in my early 30s to do a HND in Illustration at Northbrook College in Worthing. I was lucky to have two wonderful tutors who knew how bring out the creativity in their students.

 

I started illustrating maps while going through an episode of ill health. Unable to do the 9-5 office job, I supported myself by creating maps of local villages and found that they were well liked. I went on to illustrate larger areas of Britain along with the wildflowers that grow in these places.

I’m also quite nostalgic, so I had an idea to illustrate the popular British doll - Sindy. I adored my Sindy back in the 1980s and it has bought back lovely memories for myself and the people who have admired these illustrations.
